Cowboy Country Log Homes chooses to use glass beads for their blast media. The glass beads are made from recycled glass and are silica free and environmentally friendly.

Blasting removes any of the damaged wood caused by the sun’s UV rays, water or other harmful elements and opens up the pores of the wood to accept the new stain.

Once blasting is completed, the glass beads can join the existing dirt around the home with no adverse effects to the existing soil.
